Chasing the Lion
Peter Naituli is a young climber and mountain guide of mixed heritage who sets out to reclaim a lost part of his tribal history. Navigating the expectations of modern African culture, he embraces climbing as a way to embody the tradition of warriorhood inherited from his ancestors. As he helps spearhead a growing movement of Kenyans into adventure sports, the tragic reality of working in the mountains sends him searching for deeper meaning. When he meets a young warrior of the Samburu tribe in Northern Kenya, together they explore the true meaning of courage and belonging. Through their friendship, climbing becomes a powerful rite of passage and a path into brotherhood.
