"Charlie" marks Jane Watson’s directorial debut. The story of Charlie haunted her and demanded to be made after Camilla Kipp, a former student, submitted the short story as an assignment. As a result, she joined the immensely talented 12 Angry Filmmakers cooperative, which was pivotal in fulfilling her dream of bringing "Charlie" to life. She has extensive experience in front of the camera, having performed for film, TV and theatre for over twenty years.
Born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario, writer/director Lyndon Horsfall has always had a love of cinema that has ensured he was creating personal stories and was behind the lens in some capacity. He founded DragonGem Productions, in which he creates short and feature film projects, academic and social awareness documentaries, music videos and commercials. He’s also a founding member of Waterloo Region’s 12 Angry Filmmakers. He earned a dual Honours Degree in Psychology and Sociology, with minors in Women's Studies and English from Wilfrid Laurier University.
