To coincide with COP26 coming to Glasgow, Scottish Youth Film Foundation are running a film competition in partnership with the National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive, ScottishPower and a host of other organisations who care about the planet and our future.

If you’re 19 or under and live in Scotland, we want you to make a film about ‘change’. How does climate change affect you? Have you changed your behaviour because of it? What do you think we need to change to ensure a greener future?

It’s up to you. Your film can be funny, dramatic, serious, it can be animation, documentary or live action but it must be five minutes or shorter. You can film it on your phone, your tablet, on a camera, with parents, carers, friends or family. Again, it’s up to you. You can interpret the theme of Change in whatever way you like.

The National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive has provided us with some films you can download and use in your film. They show Scotland’s climate story from the past but we want you to tell us about the future.

Prizes will be awarded in age categories 12 and Under and 13-19 years and awards will be handed out at a Gala Event which will take place during COP26.

You must be resident in Scotland and 19 years or under.
Films must be five minutes our less.
