Kayla Mulholland is a visual anthropologist and clinical social worker in the San Diego-Tijuana region. She has worked with migrant communities in San Francisco, San Diego and Tijuana for over 10 years. Her ethnographic research and media projects focus on migration and its real life psycho-social impact. Kayla is interested in using applied ethnographic filmmaking as a tool for marginalized communities to combat the forces of structural violence and to create films that visually seek to represent the world from their perspective.
