The Centrally Isolated Film Festival seeks to bring together post-secondary-school (post-high-school) student filmmakers.

Students can submit narrative, documentary, or experimental student films under 20 minutes for the competition. A committee of Cornell University students select submissions to screen as part of the in-person festival in Ithaca, NY. Non-student judges select top films from each category.

1st place (per category): $200
Audience award: $200

We accept submissions of narrative, documentary, or experimental student films.

Films must be 20 minutes or less in length
Maximum one submission per person
Films must have been completed no earlier than Jan 1, 2023
The film must have been completed while you were a student
