Experiencing Interruptions?

Center Link

Center Link derives from Anna's own experiences of changing schools, moving to new cities, traveling, and putting herself in situations outside of her comfort zone. It explores the dynamic between the act of staying grounded in who you are and the internal and external changes involved in adapting to new experiences and people. These new experiences can be symbolized by the different locations around Seattle featured in the film, and the repetition and evolution of a variety of specific dance movements symbolize the parts of a person that are underlyingly continuous, yet constantly evolving. Experiences ultimately shape who we are. Both good and bad, they make us stronger, more powerful, and more grounded and in touch with ourselves. Center Link: How does your core--your center--link to everything around you? And vice versa, how does everything around you build your center?
