For over 10 years, Cédric Jouarie has been a journalist, specialized in movies. He directed his first short film, FINE (THE END) in 2007, that was later acquired by DVD distributors Metaluna Production and Oh My Gore! to be part of their horror short films anthology ‘French Démence, vol.1’. That first effort was followed in 2008 by SANS NICOLAS (MISSING NICKY), a silent movie grasping in 7 minutes the delicate subject of the loss of a child. That was also the first time his work was selected in international film festivals, such as the BIFF (Beloit Intl Film Fest) and the Flyway Film Fest, in the United States, after being presented at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival. In 2010, he entered the Philips/ YouTube online contest with HOPE (DE L’ESPOIR), a 3 minutes short film about what goes on in the mind of an OD’ing cocaine addict. The year 2011 sees him directing two more films, the comedy JOYEUX ANNIVERSAIRE and the 38 minutes drama WISH HOTEL. He moved to Taiwan in late 2011, where he keeps making films. He is currently working on his first feature.
