Montee Chaney is a Writer, Director and First Assistant Director who graduated in 2019 with his Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from North Carolina Central University and in 2020 graduated with his Masters in Film Production from Full Sail University.
Montee got his start in film at WRAL news station as a production assistant, while freelance working with various documentary teams in different roles before going on to make some of his own documentary films including "Beatriz Andrekovich: A Cultural Fusion" a winner at the 2020 Global Peace Fusion Fest Film festival student award. Although having a love for documentary Montee has directed a couple narrative short films including the micro short thriller film, Holidays of Horror in 2020, which was selected by four film festivals while winning Best film at The Hidden Visions Christmas film festival. Montee’s unique storytelling can be seen as a documentary style or immersive experience to help bring the Audience into his stories. His hope is that one day his stories will have a positive impact on the world.
This film was made with thoughts of the people in the world who face hard decision everyday on how or where there next meal will come from, this film is to show that there is a dark world around us and everyday someone is face with the decision to walk towards the darkness or look for the light.
