Carrie Davis is a Moose Cree, Wiikwemikoong Anishinaabe, and English filmmaker.
They are a graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University's MFA in Documentary Media program. The project Carrie completed for the MFA was about reconnection to land, language, and culture after being removed from their community, Moose Factory, during the end of the 60s Scoop.
Carrie continues their filmmaking journey at Toronto Metropolitan University through the Environmental Applied Science and Management PhD. Their topic is on the Moose Cree spring goose hunt and how it is integral to the survival of their people and culture. The film will also explore the challenges such as global warming and pollution.
