Carranca

Carrancas are little statues on the bows of ships, made to ward off bad omens. Are they gonna help us to sail through these times? This is a film made during the COVID-19 pandemic, about a ship that will not be left adrift.

Director Statement

Carranca was an important project for me during the Pandemic, in which I put some of my hopes and thoughts about those hard times we lived. I produced it in a very particular way with some friends I shared house with, due to the sanitary restrictions. We were reflecting about our condition, the future generations and ways to look to it with hope.
