Born in Cancún, Quintana Roo, Damián Uribe has always dreamed of being more than just a young Mexican from Cancún. As a child, he displayed his talent by recording and writing stories to play with his cousins, and it wasn't until college that he was able to achieve that and much more.
Among his most acclaimed achievements is the award for Best Radio Drama from all La Salle Universities in Mexico for his project "The Creature of DziuChé," a thriller that narrates the injustices of the wealthy in rural towns and critiques politics and tourism in the state.
His filmography not only seeks to entertain but also to elevate real stories to extreme levels that astonish audiences.
If we could describe Damián in one word, it would be "freaky"
I remember that, before writing, what we only had in mind two things: Cannibalism and the film title "Carne de Venado"(Venison)
As we wrote the short film with the entire team, we aimed to push the characters to their limits. The thought that this could actually happen terrified us, and the title always lingered in our minds.
