CareFilmFestival (CFF) was born to spread the culture of “taking care”, starting by the assumption that no human being can be completely self-sufficient. In a systemic point of view, every human being has an interdependence bond with others and no one can live without people.
As a written by Thomas Merton says: “no man is an island”.
Nursind, the union organization that promote this event, is about the importance of taking care in the role of nurses. It wants to spread this theme to make people understand this profession’s role, based on taking care of the patient.
Thanks to the movie excuse, Nursind wants to sensitize authors and audience to the delicate and precious job that everyday nurses do in hospitals, wards, homes, schools and in the streets to when you have an emergency.
With this CFF project, Nursind wants to reward authors who wants to test themselves on this theme and explore the many ways of “taking care”. In this festival will be also given space to artists who want to show their works about stories, emotions, feelings and situations. This is just another way to take care of the dimension of complete freedom inside everyone.
The competition is open to people of all ages and nationalities. The competition will be divided into two sections:
- Main Theme - short films based on the “taking care” theme
- Free Theme – short films with free theme
