CareFilmFestival (CFF) was born to spread the culture of “taking care”, starting by the assumption that no human being can be completely self-sufficient. In a systemic point of view, every human being has an interdependence bond with others and no one can live without people.
As a written by Thomas Merton says: “no man is an island”.
Nursind, the union organization that promote this event, is about the importance of taking care in the role of nurses. It wants to spread this theme to make people understand this profession’s role, based on taking care of the patient.
Thanks to the movie excuse, Nursind wants to sensitize authors and audience to the delicate and precious job that everyday nurses do in hospitals, wards, homes, schools and in the streets to when you have an emergency.
With this CFF project, Nursind wants to reward authors who wants to test themselves on this theme and explore the many ways of “taking care”. In this festival will be also given space to artists who want to show their works about stories, emotions, feelings and situations. This is just another way to take care of the dimension of complete freedom inside everyone.
The competition is open to people of all ages and nationalities. The competition will be divided into two sections:
- Main Theme - short films based on the “taking care” theme
- Free Theme – short films with free theme

Rules & Terms

To participate to CFF is necessary to pay 8,00 euro of fee to "Pegaso Lavoro soc. coop." with a postal payment slip (on c/c number 000096806906) or with bank transfer (IBAN code IT46J0760114000000096806906) writing down the contestant’s name and the reason of payment “CFF102017”.
To complete the submission is important to send the receipt of payment with a mail to info@pegasolavoro.it or with a fax (0507911012).
To submit films for the selection the Participants must fill in all the sections of the Entry Form on-line. This is available on the website www.carefilmfestival.org and participants must provide a link and password to preview the work, preferably with the facility to download it.
The link and the password must be active until the end of October 22nd, 2017.
CareFilmFestival reserves the option of not considering links that are erroneous or have expired before this date, on contact with the author/film-maker.
The link to the work must be able to be uploaded in any video format and viewed by means of any of the existing platforms, preferably with the facility to download it.
The Entry Form must also include:
• Synopsis in Italian and/or English:
• Director’s biography and filmography in Italian and/or English;
• Director’s declaration of intent;
• 1 image of the film 300 dpi in JPEG format, 20 cm wide (to be printed). The photos will be published in colour or in black and white, according to the material prepared by CareFilmFestival.
(N.B. By sending the photo, the owner of the rights authorizes their publication by the Festival and the press for promotion regarding the Festival).
