The Carcosa Film Festival, a presentation of the Bay Area Film Collective, is dedicated to discovery. We love to discover filmmakers from around the world and we love to bring together film enthusiasts and professionals to discover their work. The festival is proudly presented at San Francisco's historic Roxie Theater.

In its first year, the Carcosa Film Festival received over fifty submissions from seven countries. This year, we are on track for a bigger and more diverse pool, and the event is growing to keep up. Our rates are inclusive (see below) and our tastes are broad. All genres, all budgets – all are welcome at Carcosa.

Selected films will screen on three themed nights:

-Beer & Fear: This night is all about horror. We also provide the (free) beer. It’s a hot ticket, of course.
-Films on Disabilities: This night is dedicated to films by or about those with disabilities, either apparent or non-apparent.
-Centerpiece night: The best films of any genre or subject matter are front and center on the festival's final night.
