Car Lives

While waiting for traffic to passby, 10 year-old Spike has the experience of a lifetime as he gains “ghost-like powers” and starts exploring fun aspects of the desert. As the traffic grows, Rage starts to become the center of the desert, resulting in regular civilians turning into purple monsters! The monsters direct their rage to a young woman name Robin in need. Before our hero can intervene,
Spike is snapped back to his human form all way across the desert. How will he get to Robin in
time to save her?

Director Biography - Davey Cummings

Hello!

My name is David Cummings but you can also call me Davey. I am a Prop & Environment Artist who received his BFA in Animation at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). When I'm not drawing you can find me doing my second love in life, Fitness & Health! I love working out at the gym and being a vegetarian.

After I graduate, I hope to work as a prop and/or environment artist for an animation studio. I want to help create and build a world of wonder and amazement within an animated series or film. I grew up watching so many different and crazy worlds within television and film animation. I would love to make more of those worlds for animation lovers like myself.

Director Statement

The idea for Car Lives started as a simple story about a boy
passing the time time while waiting for the mid-day taffic to end.
However, through the course of three ten-week quarters, several
prouction meetings and one untimely pandemic, the team and I
created a film that focus on the ideology of “ You never really
know what people are going through”.
We started as a team of six but after doing some heavy
recruitment, our team expanded to over 20(+) people who all had
the passion and drive (pun intended) to create such a fantasic
film. I beleive Car Lives is just the beginning in our path to
creating thrilling and ground-breaking stories for everyone to see.
