Director Statement

Growing up in New York City, I was immersed in the vibrant and eclectic world of storytelling. My dad brought me to the movies instead football games, so from afternoons spent in grindhouse theaters and art cinemas to Saturday mornings filled with animated adventures, I developed a deep appreciation for bold, imaginative narratives. These early experiences sparked my passion for storytelling and inspired my journey into filmmaking and animation.

Eager to bring my vision to life, I took a bold leap and started connecting with artists and animators omn social media to make my project a reality. I came across some amazing animators in Africa who were eager to help me with my project, and the rest is history.

"Captain Keith," my latest project, is a testament to this creative foundation. The animated short blends humor, heart, and action, drawing from my own love of comics, superheroes, and the diverse stories that shaped my youth. At its core, "Captain Keith" explores the everyday heroes, celebrating the superpowers we all possess: extraordinary within the ordinary. Through dynamic visuals and a playful yet poignant narrative, the project reflects my dedication to creating meaningful, inclusive stories that resonate across generations.
