Cole J Sheldon is an independent filmmaker based in Wisconsin. This film was a blast to make. I typically like to write in solitude, and on a 48 Hour Film Project that tends to hurt the final product, as I don't have any other voices in the room challenging me to take risks or actually SAY something with my script.
When we drew the genre Sports/Game film, my mind immediately went to a dramatic narrative about an athlete down on their luck and in need of a second chance. After lengthy discussion, I realized that we had a chance to make a statement (with some humor, to boot) about different generations relationship with their jobs and commitment to "the man".
This film poses the question "Is it better to kill for a job that wouldn't for you, or is it better to just walk away". A humorous take on a real issue facing many people around the world.
