About the CannaTopics Film Festival

CannaTopics Film Festival is a cannabis film festival held in historic Nevada City, California as a benefit for the Nevada County Cannabis Alliance, a non-profit advocacy and educational organization. Several local venues will host films, of various themes, created by independent filmmakers from across the country
The “Who We Are” session will highlight cannabis farmers, co-ops, manufacturers and others who make this industry what it is today.
“Getting it Done” will show films about cannabis advocates and activists for patients and farmers.
“Canna Comedy” intends to show films that remind us that if cannabis is worth taking seriously, it’s worth making fun of.

PLEASE NOTE: ONLY films fulfilling the above criterion will be screened. Films submitted that do not fit our themes WILL NOT BE screened or judged.

Rules & Terms
1. Submission copies must be submitted online. Digital files are the preferred format for screening.
2. PLEASE NOTE: Because we strive to be as environmental as possible...Please do not send printed promo materials with your film. For official selection films ONLY, filmmakers must supply up to 3 high resolution digital promo stills for festival publicity PLUS a trailer for your film. We will notify you by email when we need these.
3. All entries selected into our 2020 festival grants FooDoo Farm /CannaTopics Film Festival the right to use film stills and portions of accepted films for promotional purposes.
4. If accepted, final screening copies must arrive at FooDoo Farm / CannaTopics Film Festival no later than March, 2020, or the entry will not be included in the festival. Filmmakers are responsible for shipping costs to the festival. All copies of the films become Foodoo Farm property unless otherwise directed.
5. Although the utmost care will be taken with every entry, FooDooFarm/ CannaTopics Film Festival is not responsible for the loss or damage of any film.
6. Non-English entries must be submitted with English subtitles
