Director Biography - Bobby Duncan

Bobby Duncan, is a film actor, comedian and entertainer. This past year has been a world-wind of a year for him. He can be seen in “TIP” as a rockstar, singing an original song. He also does the voiceover of Grandpa, in the film, “Creatureville.” He plays an Angel/unhoused man in the movie “Freedom Dance”. He can also be seen in the film, “The Finale” as Benny a seasoned improv comedy director.

He’s most excited though about his role as the lead actor in the upcoming release of the western film “Dangerous Decisions”, starring opposite Jeremy London (“Party of Five”, “Seventh Heaven”), Lorelei Linklater, daughter of Director Richard Linklater, (“School of Rock”, “Boyhood”, “Bad News Bears” and Brett Azar (“The Young Rock”).

Bobby has starred opposite Academy Award winning actress Helen Hunt in the PSA, “What If?” playing here husband.

In 2007 he won the first annual Bayfest Stand-up Comedy Competition in Hawaii winning a spot to open for country western singer, Alan Jackson.

In 2001 he was selected to perform stand-up comedy with music legends, The Village People, Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam, Ultra Nate, and Joan Jett.

He has appeared on the game shows, “Let’s Make a Deal”, “1 Verses 100”, and “America Says”.

He has also directed 5 improv comedy troupes, has been successful as a comedian, had 2 One-man shows, was the lead front funny guy in the Cirque show, “Waikiki Nei”, has had appearances in films and tv shows, appeared in commercials, and two episodes of the Japanese TV show. “Kinchan No Kaso Taisho. “

Director Statement

When he graduated from high school, Bobby had the opportunity to appear as an extra in the made for TV film, “Crisis at Central High”, starring JoAnn Woodward. He was paid a $20.00 bill for the day. Bobby still has that $20.00 bill as a reminder that film and entertaining is a huge part of his life and it was the first money he made as an actor.
