Director Statement

Can Open Her was inspired by my inability to use my can opener. I get irrationally frustrated with it and know that one day, it will probably be the death of me. It wasn’t until I opened up about my vile disdain for this machine that I realized... I’m not the only one! It’s a struggle that many, like me, have. But perhaps, there is an underlying meaning to it. Why do we persevere thinking that the next attempt will be different than the last? In this day and age when there are real things to be angry about, I find my useless suffering hilarious, and I hope the rest of the world does too.
