Camisado
(TV/streaming series pilot) - Emily and Avery Kent are fighting a war on all fronts. With their marriage already straining, the tragic loss of their daughter sends both women into the depths of their own personal versions of hell.
Emily retreats to her formerly shunned family, taking up the mantle of the 'family business. Avery buries herself in her work, refusing to rest until she finds those responsible for her daughter's untimely demise. Both women fall further apart from the people they used to be.
Eventually, destiny brings them both together again as the world literally crumbles around them.

Gidlow began work on his first TV series project titled "Camisado" in the spring of 2018. The pandemic pushed the project back into redevelopment, where he has begun additional work on a slate of various projects. He has sold two projects, both in development, and has helped with small investments in regional independent projects.
The film most influential for Gidlow's overall writing and directing approach is "Leon: The Professional". His other favorites and influences include "The Dark Knight Rises", "Contact", "Star Trek" (TNG/DS9 universe), "Law and Order", and "The Fugitive".
Gidlow lives with his amazing wife Samantha and their 'human' cat Stormy in Cary, NC.
Camisado has been a labor of love through a tough period. We filmed footage to be used for a webseries, but the pandemic cut it short. We've taken this time to flesh out a full TV series with a pilot and plans for multiple seasons.
This story about two women seeking justice for their daughter's death is told through a LGBTQIA+ lens, putting a same-sex couple and others in the lead through a perilous, and identifiable journey. Relationships are never seen as anything but normal, without the stereotypical anecdotes or references prevalent still today in media. In the Camisado universe, characters - whether straight, gay, deaf, or any point in between, are treated equally and are showcased for the power they bring to the screen.
Set among the backdrop of a contemporary, high-stakes drama, Camisado aims to break the fold of the family-driven revenge genre.
