Call Me Moab
Call Me Moab chronicles the story of the town’s newest mountain bike outfitter- from ideation in 2019 all the way to modern day success. Some said his business plan wouldn’t work. Tenacity and creativity has proven otherwise.
Viewers will be inspired and challenged as they witness an against-the-grain business model take shape, while at the same time learning the major stages of Moab's history and how it evolved into the tourism giant it is today.
But more than that, Call Me Moab shows the journey of every explorer, every dreamer looking for a way to build a better life.

Ryan has always had a love for the outdoors and art. Growing up in small-town Ohio left a mark of community and an undeniable work ethic that he holds close, but also loves to share. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in music, he discovered the magic of mountain biking and spent 3 years guiding tours around the western U.S. which eventually led him into capturing stories and the earth’s natural beauty through a lens. Ryan now splits his work effort between guiding and filming. You may find him in Moab or anywhere in trail-town, USA.
When you watch the film, I hope it makes you reflect.
Wherever you're at in life, there were choices that led you here, and there are choices you are making right now that will take you somewhere else. Sometimes that process takes years.
Kenny and I were friends before he had a business and before I knew how to operate a camera. This film is an origin story for both of us. When I hit record for the first time in winter of 2019, neither of us knew how deep this journey would go.
I eventually left Moab and guiding to pursue other opportunities in film, but continually returned, season after season, capturing the conversations, connections, and events that create this inspiring story.
