“Awaken Cup” is her first short film and it has been selected in the market place known as “Short Film Corner” at the Festival of Cannes 2017 (France); Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival (USA); Florence Queer Festival (Italy); Chennai International Queer Film Festival (India); Festival Outfest Perú; Festival Internacional de Cine sobre Diversidad Sexual y de Género del Uruguay; and Festival Venezolano del Cine de la Diversidad.
“Beyond a love story, I wanted to tell about woman’s growth in the face of disappointment. Many times it’s too difficult to get rid of someone you love, That’s how it was born “Awaken Cup”, about the awakening of a woman who confronts and leave everything that doesn’t make her happy to discover and love herself...”
Pamela Castillo, June 2017
