„ZYKLUS 2217“ (eng. CYCLE 2217) describes the condition of "the human as a product" in a cinematic mimesis. The challenge was to create a short film without dialogues in a way that the audience could still dive into an ungraspable far off future of destruction and ignorance.
It was highly important for us to show that human nature doesn’t evolve from its destructive frenzy and encounters in the future the same patterns of behavior than in the past: a broken world, no functioning infrastructure and inhabitants which are not self-reflecting of their existence or habits and which eat whatever is served without asking what it is or where it comes from.
„There is no way out of the cycle“ (Quote „CYCLE 2217“)
