The Company

Welcome to The Company where workplace hazards include on-the-job beatings, sadistic supervisors, and loss of soul.

The Company takes place in a world where employees are given numbers, physical beatings are common place, and no one employee has any idea of the actual meaning behind their work.

Episode 1 "Pilot": When a delivery of a simple package becomes mired in paradoxical corporate policy, Jacob must defend against the will of The Company’s higher-ups before he loses his individuality.

Director Statement

In my experience of film direction, aside from one segment in the short film “Gay Bashed,” I have only had the opportunity to direct from a script that I have, myself, written. With, “The Company,” my goal was to shine a new light onto this great script by William Fitz, and discover, as well as experiment with, new themes and ideas, from my own interpretation, while still satisfying what is already on the page. By directing someone else’s script, I have the advantage of not knowing everything between the lines, that the writer does, so I am free to experiment and bring my own nuances to an already nuanced screenplay.
