CRIES AND WHISPERS
The year is 1975, when the poet is spending time as a student in Spain. That year two fundamental events took place, the personal one: The poet's father dies, the historical one: The fascist dictator Franco dies. Can the two facts be connected? What does the Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman have to do with all this?

His works have been awarded in international videopoetry competitions and screened at festivals, museums and universities around the world.
Jean Morris' poem CRIES AND WHISPERS about the death of the father works perfectly to me for investigating several technical and aesthetical aspects such as text on the screen, found footage, sound and subjects like death, memories and political changes in Spain in the mid 70's. And, of course, it is my tribute to Bergman's master piece.
