Director Gabriela Escalante is a sunny San Diego native. Prior to her studies, she directed and produced films like “How to REALLY load a Pentax K100” and “What Inspirers You?”. During her years at the University of California Santa Cruz she also made films like “Dinner” and “Scratcher”; these were what shaped the true essence of her stylistic choices.
I wanted to have a vlogging feel to this. By having it filmed this way it was more earthy; more relatable for the audience. I wanted to show what I was experiencing with all of this scary Coronavirus news and how I have been coping with it and how things changed around me.
