COSPLAY: Pros and Cons
Charlie, a 21-year-old college student, has a rather interesting hobby: cosplay. Their quest is to shine a light on their craft in order to fight the unexpected stigma surrounding it, and enjoy cosplay without ridicule. To do this, Charlie dresses their partner up in full cosplay and escorts them to an anime convention, surrounding them with other like minded individuals.

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Mostly for the candy, and the good old fashioned spooks, but also for the freedom to dress up in a funky costume and be someone else for a while. Charlie, and other cosplayers around the globe, have found a way to make halloween year round. They get to dress up as whoever they want, whenever they want, and have the most fun doing it. I am forever thankful to Charlie for introducing me to cosplay and giving me the opportunity to step inside their shoes (figuratively and literally). This documentary is my baby. I've never made anything like this before and I also don't think I've worked this hard on a film in a long time. No thanks to the chaos COVID has brought to my life, and everyone else's, film hasn't been the same in a while. It was nice to finally get to make something, and something that I am SO proud of. I hope you all enjoy Pros and Cons.
