Director Statement

Any tale of a woman succumbing under the heavy burden of a divided society, deserves to be told. Countless of unwritten chapters in our history where we have covered, rejected or even abandoned those stories about our precious mothers, sisters, daughters or partners. An infinite void, a limitless loophole is what we as society have built in places that claim to be free and just.

We settle first world lands overwhelmed with opportunities and hope but the line that separates our wisdom, usually centers itself between the crossfire of religion and secularism.

With “CONCEPtION”, the argument reaches an intricate point, we witness a hypothetical but not too far fetched situation that leaves us with the concept of “what if”.

This short tale already belongs in the quest to create a fairer and ideal world where our women could not only enjoy their presence on this earth but could finally own the right to do, to be.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Enjoy the film.
