COMING BACK HOME

The grandson of a Portuguese Citizen who came to Brazil in 1896, decides to make the opposite way of his grandfather, 122 years later. In 10 episodes, of 5 minutes each, on average, we see the trajectory of our character - the Neto - from the preparations for the trip, his trajectory in search of creating financial and social bonds in Portugal, his passage through the Port from where his Grandfather at the age of 12, to the place where Grandfather and other ascendants were born. With this he seeks to rescue the story of a Portuguese who once went to Brazil in search of a dream. Today, this Grandson, makes the way "Back home". We do not know whether Grandfather's relatives were found in the area where he was born. We do not know if our character stays there. Might need to come back. To know how this story ends it is important that you go to the end.
It may be that this story ends but it may open the way to tell other stories of Brazilian emigrants who, for various reasons, are making the opposite path of their ascendants in search of perhaps the same dream: Better quality of life for themselves and their families.

Director Biography - FABIO GUIMARES

Fábio Guimarães, formado em Ciências do Mar, pela Escola Naval e, em Artes Cênicas / Diretor Teatral e Ator, pela Universidade do Rio de Janeiro, trabalhou por 10 anos na TVGlobo , onde se "formou", na prática, como Diretor de Programas de TV. Dentre os vários programas e novela em que foi Assistente de Direção, permaneceu mais tempo na Direção do Programa Zorra Total (link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iK2axwRN6Nk). Escreveu, produziu e atuou no Curta Metragem "Comendo de um...tudo - uma receita para um futuro sem fome", sobre aproveitamento integral dos alimentos, patrocinado através da Lei Rouanet (Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SH3aprF-1Tc&t=8s). Escreveu, produziu e atuou no Curta Metragem "BLARio2014", que trata de mostrar a necessidade de deixar o Rio de Janeiro mais acessível para pessoas com deficiência ou com dificuldade de locomoção nas obras da Copa do Mundo de 2014. Aos quase 60 anos, desci do "pedestal" de ter sido Diretor de Programas de TV na maior TV do Brasil e uma das maiores do Mundo, para me embolar com jovens sonhadores, dividindo com eles o direito de criar e realizar sem rótulos, marcas ou amarras.
