CIRCLES

Myles Turner is a high school track star prospect. Driving to the biggest race of his life, the national championships with his religious mother and father - he is faced with reminders whilst texting his secret love that there is a bigger battle going on internally regarding his sexuality. The family pray for a successful race and Myles walks to the locker room. Looking in the mirror of the track locker room bathroom, he sees himself in full makeup. Frightened yet intrigued, Myles goes back out to the field and faces further reminders from his teammates, who engage in hurtful and homophobic language to hype up his big race, that there is a bigger picture involved. Myles goes back into the bathroom and embraces his identity, applying the makeup to his face before stepping out to the track. A meet director cautions him, saying that his look goes against regulations, telling him he will get disqualified if he continues without wiping the makeup off his face. Doubling down, Myles steps on the line and runs anyway.
