Two years after an incident, which was already a closed police file, Inspector Bikash Ranjan Majumder has come back to solve the unanswered questions of the case of “Death of Debol Shome”. While speaking with Debol Shome’s father, Inspector Majumder reveals that he wasn’t satiated with how the file was closed and believes that it wasn’t an accident by chance but a cold blooded murder.

On interrogating Mr Shome further, he narrated the harsh truth behind the incident. While Debol had always disliked Tukuna (Gardener) and Chikli (Gardener’s daughter / domestic help) as they were tribals, he felt superior to the indigenous inhabitants. However, he always had his eyes on the developing body of Chikli.

When Mrs Shome leaves for an excursion with their daughter and father-in-law for a day, Debol nabs the chance and physically abuses Chikli. After returning from an errand, Tukuna catches Debol in the act and hits him in fit of rage which becomes a fatal blow and Debol succumbs to death. As the horrific event was taking place, Mrs Shome witnesses all of it with utter disgust and dismay. When Debol’s father, Mr Shome returns and sees the body of his son and blood spilled hands of Tukuna, he is on the verge of handing Tukuna to the law enforcement agencies. He gets intervened by Mrs Shome who tells him the truth behind the incident.

As the movie ends, Inspector Majumder leaves not only having solved the curiosity of his mind and the answers to his unanswered questions, but also with a secret that he will keep forever with himself.
