The Cincinnati Film Society’s mission is to expand access and appreciation of motion pictures as a form of powerful artistic expression. We encourage sociocultural diversity by exploring cinema and its history, providing youth education, and services to entrepreneurial filmmakers.

CFS Tiny Film Fest is an all-genre intl festival presented online and in our pop-up series. Films selected for CFS Tiny Film Fest are presented on CFS website and our Instagram account and will be showcased in a theatrical setting in our sponsored venue The Mockbee.

The Mockbee building is a beautiful historical beer brewery once home to the Bellevue Brewing Co. Now eclectic art and venue space It's lager tunnels provides a unique experience for viewing films.

Awards & Prizes

CFS programmers will select 50 finalists to be showcased on CFS’s website and Instagram channel, and one winner will be selected for the Jury Choice Award.

Rules & Terms

By submitting your film to CFS Tiny Film festival you agree that your 60 SECOND FILM OR TRAILER may be uploaded on Cincinnati Film Society’s Instagram Account, and Cincinnati Film Society website. The filmmaker/institution that is submitting the film must own the rights to do so, and is responsible for the content they are providing.

Eligibility:
•Filmmakers from around the globe are invited to apply for CFS Tiny Film Festival to share their original works.
•Film must be in English or subtitled in English
•Film must be available on HD, mov or mp4, 720p or 1080p, with 8-10 Mbit video bitrate

How to Submit: To successfully submit to CFS Tiny Film Festival, you must have fulfilled the following.
• Upload your short film to Instagram, hashtag #CFSTinyFilmFest #CincinnatiFilm
• Submit your digital short film for consideration in the CFS Tiny Film Festival through FilmFreeway https://filmfreeway.com/festival/CFSTinyFilmFest

By entering your film for consideration for the 2018 CFS Tiny Film Festival, you authorize that your work is cleared for festival exhibition and accept full legal responsibility for the intellectual property therein. Entry into the festival constitutes permission to exhibit your work at the 2018 CFS Tiny Film Festival. The CFS Tiny Film Festival is also hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Festival for promotional purposes. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless the CFS Tiny Film Festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered. The CFS Tiny Film Festival may opt to withdraw your work from the festival at any time for any reason. The CFS Tiny Film Festival DOES NOT PAY SCREENING FEES. By submitting your film via FilmFreeway you acknowledge that the festival will not pay to present your work. CFS Tiny Film Festival reserves the right to disqualify any submission without refund of submission fees. CFS Tiny Film Festival does not issue refunds.
