CENSORED episode 6 - Shoshanna

CHAPTER 6 “Shoshanna”: Steven passes through dimensions and bursts forth from a giant, slime-filled tank on the other side of the globe. He discovers that he has arrived at the South Pole in a remote Russian facility as Anton, an old scientist, nurses him back to health. Steven is shocked to learn that this particular complex was used for teleportation research, and that he may have been transported via those same means to Anton through a machine dubbed “Shoshanna”. The old man also tells him of the current state of the world when questioned about the facilities’ other, missing tenants. Steven hears of a ruined planet, devastated from nuclear war.
Ruben takes Paul to the cabin he first hid out in almost 20 years ago, after the Bell incident. Exhausted, the men rest and plan their next move, as they exchange stories over what their lives have become over the past 2 decades. Paul smells Dreamlands’ bizarre, chemical odor on Ruben’s coat, and realizes that the men they are fighting come from Liam’s facility.
This discovery prompts Ruben to quiz Paul about all he knows concerning the location of this secret base, in preparation of a full-on assault to put an end to their plight. Paul doesn’t like the idea but lets himself be swayed by Ruben’s logic. Ruben takes Paul’s “go-bag” money and goes to get all the things they need for their attack. Paul sleeps until Ruben returns, loaded for bear with duffel bags full of weapons and equipment.
The men finish hashing their plan out, and proceed to kidnap a police officer the next morning. They use his radio to call in a stolen vehicle matching the description of the SUV that usually picks Paul up, and follow it to it’s secret destination… that turns out to be Yosemite national park. They enter the park and abandon their vehicle once the trail leads deeper into the woods. Struggling with their equipment, the men sneak for hours through the forest, past the first sentries and eventually arrive at the entrance to the base proper. Emptying one of the duffel bags, Ruben starts preparing an odd contraption to circumvent Dreamlands’ seemingly impenetrable defenses, as Paul looks on dubiously.
