CAUSE OF DEATH: UNKNOWN

A commuter van transports a prisoner on parole, a mute woman entangled in an abusive relationship, a couple looking to cross the Iranian border illegally, their smuggler, and a mysterious man across the Lut Desert in Iran. After a driving incident, the man is unresponsive. The group fail to revive him. Searching for his identifications; they discover a stack of American dollars hidden in his jacket. They decide to carry him to the nearest police station to report his death and surrender the money. As they embark on their journey, they realize that they would be primary suspects. Each one has their own reason for not wanting to be questioned by the police. Ethical debates ensue over the consequences of reporting the body and surrendering the money. They finally opt for dumping the body and give in to the temptation of splitting the money.
The fugitive couple refuse to get involved and separate from the group. The others carry on embroiled by betrayal and guilt.
