Director Biography - Paul C Dewey

Paul Dewey is a journalist and film producer who has worked across the media landscape creating a wide variety of films, news and TV commercials. He cut his teeth working for clients like American Express, Hallmark and Pepsi at Ogilvy & Mather and BBDO. After a stint in Hollywood developing TV programming, Paul attended Columbia Journalism school, then spent years producing news programs for CNN. He has spent the last 20 years creating films for non-profit and corporate clients. In 2010 he was one of the producers of Farmageddon, a film about government over regulation of small farming operations, our healthiest source of food. His passions have turned to history storytelling in the last five years, culminating in the documentary, By the Sea.

Director Statement

Telling stories is one of man's oldest traditions, and how we pass along our personal stories to future generations. We all have stories to tell, and it has been my job to sort them out, and craft them into meaningful films which allow those voices to live on.
