Writer Statement

My name is Jax Jupiter I am a student and film creator living in NYC. My previous relevant experiences include partaking in the Naked Angels 2 week summer program, “might as well be a ghost” music video, home videos and several short clips I have filmed as stock footage between 2018-2020. I am pleased to submit a synopsis and lookbook for a project. I am currently working on a live- action mini series inspired by Laika Studios Coraline that I would like to release through a streaming platform.I see big things coming after the mini series. It wants to have a large impact on this generation of film by creating things that people can relate to and cry with etc. What matters most to me is that people feel something when watching the series. I want them to talk about it not in a way that’s for publicity or popularity but just genuine interest and curiosity. It has been about almost two years since I have been working on this mini series. It has honestly been one of the best moments in my teen years finding an outlet to express my emotions that I will eventually share with the world. I have learned so much on my own through doing online and book research. I have the ideas, I have the plans. I taught so much to myself, inspiring myself to not only take large roles with the film but several of them. I worked on the script album and visuals for the film, hopefully taking a part on screen as well. I know what I want to do with the series to take it to the next level of Gen Z films.
