Director Statement

I belong to a middle-class family since my childhood our family goes to a restaurant every weekend to have this popular recipe from India, Butter Chicken. It's sweet and spicy, I remember we always enjoyed the dish in restaurants but we never enjoyed the dish when we tried it at home. And this hit me with this idea, where Suman and Manohar, these two relatable characters, a married couple came into life. So I planned a dinner date for them over their favourite dish Butter Chicken.

I wanted to create a film that is simple yet complex so I decided to derive the entire drama into a single scene. Here I used Butter Chicken as a metaphor in different ways, where I have tried to keep the dialogues more real, simple but relatable!
