As a film school teacher in Santa Fe, Cathy assisted hundreds of students write, film and edit award winning short films and animations. Working as a marketing director, Cathy refined her storytelling skills and eye for dynamic and moving imagery.
After years of midwifing others' stories as a film school teacher, I'm excited to deliver my first short film, a tribute to the original Madroids—true “buscaderos”— who searched for meaning beneath the open sky in an unforgiving land. Written and acted by my raconteur husband, Jesse, with heartfelt music by my daughter, Makai, the movie was shot entirely on an iPhone 12.
