Simeon is a short film producer and director who's directing debut is documentary short Bus Stories. Simeon was awarded the Devon Documentary Short Film Commission by the Exeter Phoenix for his idea to travel the length of the UK using only local buses. This base idea developed into making a documentary about why public transport is so crucial to the UK people.
I originally had the idea not as a film but as a challenge. Something someone would do on a gap year or a bored pensioner would try to complete using their bus pass. It was only when I was awarded the Exeter Phoenix's commission when I knew I wanted to document the journey and find out why the UK needs buses.
