The radical group MOVE were flushed from their home on May 13, 1985 when Philadelphia police dropped a bomb on their house. Of the 13 people inside, only two survived.

Andre Taylor, a public historian, has an extensive background in journalism. In a career that spanned almost two decades, Andre spent most of his career covering crime for publications in West Virginia, Delaware, Texas, Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina.
The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University product studied history at the school before attending graduate school at North Carolina State University to study public history. The Philadelphia native is married to Andrea (Hankins) and they have twin daughters, Adelyn and Ashlyn. He and his family reside in Raleigh.
