Amerika Calls: Burgenlanders in the Lehigh Valley
Amerika Calls: Burgenlanders in the Lehigh Valley tells the stories of the thousands of Austrian Burgenlanders who immigrated to Pennsylvania's Lehigh Valley region in the 1890's to 1950's. So many immigrated that the Lehigh Valley became of of the largest enclaves of Burgenlanders outside of Austria. This video tells what it was like to immigrate via steamship and train and the hardships this immigration created for those left behind.

Jeff is a retired corporate communications professional with 40 years of video and story telling experience. He has a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and was a radio and television reporter for the U.S. Army in Germany during the Cold War.
In retirement I love the freedom I now have to tell stories for the fun of it. Making family and local history come alive in a good video tale is a very rewarding experience.
