You get home
And like all your dreams
Sitting in his chair
A smile of recognition
A face you barely knew
Only he knows how to remind you
That I’m looking at you
And I’m looking at you
And I’m looking at you
And I’m looking at you
Taxed by your own voice
And bludgeoned by your friend
Leaning over the sink
The drink doesn’t betray you
Your skin doesn’t obey you
Only he knows how to remind you
That I’m looking at you
And I’m looking at you
And I’m looking at you
And they're looking at you
And I’m looking at you
And she’s looking at you
And he’s looking at you

About Bunchy's Big Score: BUNCHY’S BIG SCORE are the art rock trio from Ōtepoti, New Zealand. The Big Score currently features Max White as the principal songwriter, vocalist, and organ player, Hamish Waddell on backing vocals and rhythm guitar, and Reef Brazendale on percussion. Influenced by D.I.Y projects such as Phil Elvrum’s The Microphones, The Moldy Peaches, and Daniel Johnston, Bunchy’s Big Score endeavors to carry the low fidelity torch while introducing otherwise foreign elements of folk, electronica, and post-punk.
About Spencer Hall: Spencer Hall is a multidisciplinary artist based in Pōneke Wellington, specializing in animation, motion graphics, and illustration. With a unique artistic vision, Hall brings songs and stories to life through vibrant and innovative visuals.
Bunchy's Big Score, rising stars of New Zealand’s art rock scene, are thrilled to announce the release of their second single next month, accompanied by a visually stunning animated music video crafted by acclaimed artist Spencer Hall. Known for their eclectic sound, which melds the eccentricities of freak folk with the jangly, lo-fi vibes reminiscent of fellow Dunedin legends The Great Unwashed, Bunchy’s Big Score continues to push the boundaries of modern music with their eagerly anticipated album release.
Glass Eye Contact showcases the band’s signature blend of intricate melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, solidifying their place as one of the most innovative voices in New Zealand's indie music scene. The accompanying music video, an animated masterpiece by Spencer Hall, brings the track to life with surreal visuals that perfectly complement the band’s distinctive sound. With a unique and evocative style, Hall’s animation adds a new layer of depth to Bunchy’s Big Score’s already rich musical landscape.
