Bumbld (Season 2)
Bumbld is a raw and unapologetic account of the ‘swipe culture’ from the female perspective. The digital comedy series hilariously captures the rollercoaster of online dating through the skewed vision of a 28 year-old Upper East Sider named Pippy.

In 2017, after writing, producing and starring in her award winning short film, Like Me, Amanda Bear launched her production company, Slater Pictures. Amanda went on to make her directorial debut in 2018 with her comedic series, Bumbld. Her past works afforded her multiple nominations and awards for Best Actress, Best Short, Best Screenplay and in 2019, she was awarded Westfield International Film Festival’s Rising Star. Amanda is currently in pre-production with Bumbld Season 3, a pilot and a dramatic short.
I try to draw from personal experience with my work as often as possible. I love to create honest and flawed female characters. I want the audience to recognize the actors on screen as people who they relate to or see in the world. My favorite thing about directing is finding something really unique about each actor and helping them share that piece of themselves with the audience. I’m passionate about female empowerment and sex positivity and I’m constantly seeking to delineate that both on camera and within the environment that I create on set.
