Bullet Proof Anand

Two small-time goons Bada Bruce Lee (Bruce Lee Senior) and Chhota Bruce Lee (Bruce Lee Junior) grab hold of the dreaded gangster Anand, hailed in the underworld as Bulletproof Anand. Anand earned that title because of his notorious history of escaping death despite more than 27 attacks on his life. Starring Festival Favorite Actors Sanjai Mishra, Anshuman Jha and Jaaved Jaafery in a never seen before avatar Bullet Proof Anand is an ode to the verbose 90s Gangster films. This is the story of three misfit gangsters, an elusive femme fatale and a lit dynamite in a hapless location.

Director Biography - Alok Sharma

Alok Sharma has worked across media with experience in television, animation, feature films, radio, online content and comics. He started his career as a comic book artist with Virgin Comics.

Winner of multiple Industry Awards like FICCI BAF, Promax BDA, CBAM and Comic Con India Awards, he’s worked as a creator with eminent brands like Disney, Cartoon Network, Fox, Reliance Animation, Yashraj, Red Chillies et al. 

He’s the co-founder of Indusverse - India’s first binge read premium Graphic Novel Brand.

Alok’s debut Graphic Novel STUNT has been praised by Industry Stalwarts like Mark Millar (Marvel’s Civil War, Kick-Ass, Wanted and Kingsman), David Lloyd (V for Vendetta) and many others.

Previously, as the Vice President of Graphic India (Erstwhile Virgin Comics Co-Founded by the visionaries Richard Branson, Shekhar Kapoor, Sharad Devarajan and Deepak Chopra), he’s developed, produced and directed content that had legends like Stan Lee (Marvel), Amitabh Bachchan, S.S. Rajamouli, Grant Morrison (Batman, Happy!) and Chuck Dixon (Batman, Punisher, Birds of Prey) attached to them.

In the recent past Alok has provided his services as a script consultant on various superhero/fantasy IPs with studios like Reliance, Phantom Films and several others. 

Alok scripted Phantom Films’ ambitious superhero project Doga in 2015. Besides, he also wrote a Doga graphic novel for Raj Comics, that was launched by Anurag Kashyap.

Under his own banner Small Town Boys, Alok has created and produced cutting edge content like Blazing Bajirao (Eros / Sanjay Leela Bhansali) and Cosmic Crusaders (Stan Lee/Hollywood Reporter) to name a few. 

As an independent writer / director, in the last decade or so Alok has scripted and directed content for Epic Channel, Zoom, MTV, Channel V, Zee TV, Zee Studios, Fox, Maximum Media, GoDaddy, Sony International, ZoOM, Red Chillies Entertainment, TVF, Endemol Shine and many others.

Passionate to a fault about comics and superheroes, he's working on his dream project, the documentary 'Chitrakatha: Indian Comics Beyond Balloons and Panels' - which attempts to cover the history and evolution of sequential art in India.
