Director Biography - OFELIA MEDINA

Actress, director and playwright.
In 1967, she began her professional life in Alejandro Jodorowski's H3O. That same year, she became cinema actress and since then she has performed in over 40 feature films and received national and international awards.
In 1990 founded the Fideicomiso para la Salud de los niños indígenas de México.
Passionate about poetry, she creates shows inspired by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Rosario Castellanos and Frida Kahlo, Julio Cortázar among others.
She is the screenwriter of "Tortilla", a film that intends to direct, and has participated in the scripts of "Getrudis Bocanegra" and "Voces Inocentes".
She is also dedicated to teaching acting and directing actors.
