Bubbly Brown Sugar tells the story of two soulmates meeting in their dreams and their parallel journeys to finding each other upon waking up.

In Bubbly Brown Sugar, lifestyle blogger and entrepreneur Jewel Patterson has always had psychic dreams that often times came true as a child. When she accepts the proposal for marriage from her longtime sweetheart, Gabriel Hamilton, her psychic dreams come back with such intensity, it throws her life upside down.

Director Biography - Tamala Baldwin, Lavarro Jones

LaVarro Jones has over 19 years of work experience in film and television. LaVarro started his career at BET (Black Entertainment Television.) As his career progressed LaVarro worked for other networks including VH1, Bravo, HGTV, History Channel, and Style Network. He edited various shows including, I Want To Work For Diddy, Kimora, Life in The Fab Lane, Amish Mafia, Breaking Amish, Mob Wives, Prank Academy and Situationships. He currently edits “The number one show in late night, ball bags,” Viceland’s Desus and Mero. His mission To passionately create content that entertains, educates and inspires, while empowering others to do the same. Lavarro.com

Co-director, Tamala Baldwin is an enchanting actor of television, film and stage from Brooklyn, New York. She holds an MBA in Media and trained at the Julliard School of Music for the flute. When she is not in front of the camera, Tamala has worked as a writer, and content producer for the past 8 years. Bubbly Brown Sugar marks her directorial debut. Her short film, Without You, with LaVarro Jones, won first place at the AT&T Create-A-Thon. Her mission is to help transform the way people think about themselves and ultimately the world around them through storytelling.
