Bubble Family

"Bubble Family" is a 2D stop-motion animated short film that explores the over-controlling parenting style of Taiwanese traditional parents. The background of the story is set in Taiwan, using a lot of Taiwanese elements. The painting style is hand-drawn watercolor painting with pencil lines.

Director Biography - To Liu

咕拎是一杯純牛奶，總是聽話的接受父母加料在自己身體裡。某天他來到了夜市。發現世界原來是那麼多采多姿，有酸酸的檸檬、甜甜的布丁，他也在因此將不同的料並加進身體裡，並開心的拿了一點回家給父母。然而回家後父母看到卻無法理解，用力的拍掉估拎拿的料，並粗暴地把他的蓋子扯開，不斷的把他身體裡不同的料挖出，再不斷加入原本的料，加到咕拎整杯都是珍珠，當蓋子蓋上的那刻，咕拎也不堪負荷蓋子當場爆掉，並倒在地上像是沒了靈魂。但是父母並不在乎咕拎的痛苦，強拉起他的手，將咕拎拖回家。

Guling was a glass of pure milk that always obediently accepted the additives his parents put into his body. One day, he found himself at a night market and discovered a world full of vibrant colors, including lemons and puddings. Inspired by this, he started adding different ingredients to his body and happily brought some home for his parents. However, when he returned home, his parents couldn't comprehend his actions, leading to a dispute between Guling and his parents.

2001年出生，就讀致理科技大學多媒體設計系，習慣用手繪插畫風格作畫，喜歡塑造人物。

I was born in 2001 and is currently studying in the Multimedia Design Department at Chihlee University of Technology.I am accustomed to creating artwork in a hand-drawn illustration style and enjoys character design.
