Bryson's Battle

Following a devastating diagnosis of stage 3 t-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma, a young athlete's dreams of running in college are replaced with the realities of surgeries, chemotherapy and tackling both cancer and the 11th grade.

Director Biography - Morgan Gullett

Morgan Gullett, a 17 year-old filmmaker has won more than 15 film festival awards for music videos and short films that she has directed, produced and written.

Some of Morgan's recent projects include: a music video filmed almost entirely underwater (worldwide premiere, screening and Director's Q&A in Los Angeles in 2022), a music video for a Billboard-featured artist and mental health advocate, and a suspense short film. She recently acquired the IP /copyright for a gut-wrenching true story which is now in the development phase and she will be filming another short film in May 2023.

"Bryson's Battle" is her first documentary and she and Anthony will be filming a follow-up piece in conjunction with a significant LLS fundraiser as Bryson completed chemotherapy, later this year.

While currently a high school student in Indiana, she will be interning for a production company in Los Angeles this summer and plans to attend film school starting in Fall 2024.

Creating this documentary with my co-producer Anthony Gery, about our friend Bryson Leffers, was an absolute honor. The process and Bryson taught us so much about life, fear, determination, friendship and hope.
