Bryan "Boom" Washington is an independent film Director, Producer, and Professional Video/Media Professional from Washington, DC.
Bryan is a Norfolk State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications. In 2022, Bryan received a Master of Arts in Film and Television Producing from Regent University.
Bryan has spent most of his professional video career as a content producer for local Churches in the Washington, DC area. He has served as the video content producer and sound operator for Mount Jezreel Baptist Church, the historic Asbury United Methodist Church, and now serves as the Deputy Director of Video Productions for the Washington National Cathedral. He was also the pre-production editor for several contracted ads for JessBe Creative Media LLC. While doing so, Bryan would work as a freelance graphic designer and video editor for various organizations in the Washington, DC area.
Currently, while serving as the Deputy Director of Video Productions for the Washington National Cathedral, Bryan is working as an independent filmmaker and producer, voice actor, and graphic designer for several independent short films such as Rocky Road, directed by Judy England. The film won several awards at the Christian Online Film Festival-COLFF. The film stars Reuel Belt, SAG-AFTRA, and Shawn Cosby, SAG-AFTRA.
Most notably, In the summer of 2023, Bryan participated as an Artist in Residence (Video Editor) for Smart Funny & Black Productions led and founded by Comedian, Actress, Writer, and Producer, Amanda Seales.
Bryan's skills include proficiency in various video editing applications, including, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Filmora by Wondershare, and Davinci Resolve 18. He also has advanced experience in creative direction, video production, production scheduling, budgeting, content curating, camera operation, screenwriting, communication skills, project management, and leadership.
