The first edition of Brussels Porn Film Festival aims to present to Belgian audience the diversity of sexuality in film, proposing an eclectic, enthusiast and critical look at the most watched and produced audiovisual genre in the world.

Acknowledging the diverse nature of the new international erotic and explicit production, the festival will have a program centered on an open call, an international competition, as well as professional encounters, round tables, workshops, listening sessions and performances.

Our main goal is to propose a different way of looking at the world by a erotic bias. To show different filters and interpretations of the contemporary nature of this cinematographic field. We wish, before all, to enlighten a new perspective between the relation of sexual representation, of sexuality, but also between the way we perceive gender, ourselves, the margins and the center, intimacy and politics, cellular and social bodies, situations and satelisations etc.

By allowing the encounter between the public and this new erotic wave, we wish to broaden the perspectives of the medium, but also to present a new way of producing and consuming those images. Acknowledging the existence of several initiatives that already happens in the city and Belgium in general - about sexual representation (been explicit or not), we wish to subscribe ourselves into that cartography through partnerships with other collectives and festivals.

Aiming to encourage an ethical production inside the industry, as well as to motivate innovation within the sector, we propose an international competition. Prizes will be attributed by the festival’s jury (professionals, researchers, etc.) which will be invited by the organization to attend the festival.

Any work produced at any time and any years is eligible for consideration in our general selection.
Any work produced after February 2019 is eligible for consideration in our official jury competition.

If selected, all commercial/private property including all trademark/copyrighted materials shown or recorded on the project is the responsibility of the filmmaker.
